The JAS Way | Behind the scenes at Salisbury's leading hair and beauty salons

We care deeply about you, our team and the local community. The way we show we care is by leading the best hair and beauty salon team in Salisbury, by organising community projects such as Salisbury Fashion Week, and by our work with local charities such as The Stars Appeal.

At JASHAIR we’re guided by the following values:

Excellence. We strive to be fantastic
Consistency. Consistency is at the core of everything we do
Passion. We do what we love and we love what we do
Community. We’re at the heart of our local community
Teamwork. We help each other achieve more

Our heritage

We’re often asked where the name JAS came from. It was formed using the initials of Jayne
and her two sisters, Andrea and Shelley. We’re proud that all three sisters still work together in our salons today. We first opened our doors on 12th November 1990 with a single salon in New Canal. We are proud Winners of Best Local Salon UK 2012 and in 2015. Winners of Training Excellence 2009, 2011 & 2015 South Wilts Business Awards.
Winners Excellence in Customer Service 2016 South Wilts Business Awards

Guest delight

50% of what makes a fantastic salon has nothing to do with a pair of scissors. We want you to delight you each and every time you visit. From the moment you walk in our doors you’ll be greeted warmly and treated like a treasured friend visiting our home. We care about you and your wellbeing.

Training & development

To ensure you’re delighted, we invest heavily in team member training – we call this ‘the JAS Way’. To maintain consistently high standards we train everyone in our own signature collection of cuts, colours, finishes and beauty treatments, helping each team member - from apprentice to senior stylist - to develop and grow. We have our own training academy and send team members to London.

Fundraising & charities

We’re always looking for innovative new ways to raise funds for the Stars Appeal. In 2017, JASHAIR owner Jayne Prigent, Wilton Salon Manager Karin Walsh, joined SpireFM presenter Martin Starke and 32 other local people to trek the Grand Canyon. The trekkers collectively raised more than £101k.

Partnerships

We believe in collaborating with other local business owners and in making things better for the local community. We are part of the Salisbury BID team, play a leading role in Salisbury Independents Week, and jointly organise the very
popular Salisbury Fashion Week.

Behind the scenes

We create and use our own imagery, partnering with local make-up artists, clothing retailers, photographers and filmmakers. Take a look behind the scenes of our most recent photo shoot.
